So you will see that on this device I have two ways of unlocking it, either through a

pattern or using the Google account. Now assuming we don't know either of those, we're gonna do it differently

So as you can see there is the Google one. So to start off let's back out to the WiFi connection and disconnect from WiFi

If you're already not connected to it then you don't really have to do anything, just

progress through the setup by tapping on skip on the WiFi

And what we want to do is get to over here and set a screen lock

Now this will in turn overwrite the one that we had previously. As you've seen there was a way of unlocking it through the pattern

So I'm gonna go with a pin just to make it different

You can see set a pin, so let's put that in. Now the pin doesn't have to be the same, you can set your own

I'm just setting 1, 2, 3, 4. And there we go, and it's set

So let's go back and connect to WiFi. So I'm gonna connect to mine

And from there let's progress through the setup once more. And again get to the locked state, or locked page

And there we go, we can see that we can now unlock the device using a pin

So it overwrote the pattern that was previously there, and we can simply unlock the device

with the pin that we have literally just set. And you can see now we can sign in

Now this is completely optional now, so if you don't want to you can simply skip it
