Hi everyone, here we've got Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and let me share with you how to add a
0:10
fingerprint to this device. So firstly we have to find and open the settings, so let's do it
0:16
And now we have to scroll down in order to find passwords and security
0:20
As you can see at the very top actually of this list on this panel we've got the fingerprint
0:24
option, so let's tap on it. And here we've got the very first step of adding the fingerprint and we have to set
0:29
an additional screen lock. We can choose the pattern pin or password, whatever you want, but just make sure that
0:34
you will remember it because it is important. Because if for some reason the fingerprint sensor won't work, then you will still be able
0:42
to unlock your device and you won't have to go through hard reset operation, which is irreversible
0:47
So let me pick for example the pattern. And as you can see here we've got also the info that you have to remember your password
0:53
and so on and so on. This is what I just told you. So just tap on Got It and here we have to set the pattern
0:58
So I will draw something like that, redraw it and confirm. As you can see right now we have to add our fingerprint
1:07
The sensor is located on the edge of our device, actually on the power button
1:12
So all we have to do is simply put the finger on it and so let me do it
1:16
And as you can see right now I have to do it multiple times in order to add my fingerprint fully
1:22
And try to catch every corner obviously for better recognition. Okay, and as you can see right now we have to move our finger
1:34
It is again to add it fully. So just like enroll your finger
1:43
Okay, and as you can see, we just added it successfully. Here we can rename it
1:53
So let me do it right here. We will be able obviously to do it also later on
1:59
But I will do it here. So let me rename it. Tap on Done
2:03
And as you can see here we've got our fingerprint we just added
2:07
After tapping on it we can rename it again or remove it if you want to
2:11
We can add also another fingerprint. What's more here we can change the recognition method and it is connected to the unlocking
2:19
our device. After tapping on it you can see that we can either choose touch which is right now applied
2:25
or press. So if we will choose press it means that we will unlock our device
2:30
But after putting our finger on the power button and pressing it without we have to
2:35
put the pressure. Because if we will have this option only applied then in order to unlock our device we will
2:41
have to only touch the power button. What's more under it we've got the use fingerprint for sections
2:47
So here we can decide for what we want to use it for. So we can use it for privacy password, app lock or fingerprint payment
2:54
So it's really up to you which option you'd like to turn on or off. If you'd like to turn it on just tap on the switcher
2:59
It's really up to you. Just have fun with this section and decide where you want to use it
3:04
For what you want to use it. So right now let me check if the fingerprint sensor actually works and if we just successfully
3:12
added the fingerprint unlock. So let me lock the device. And let me put my finger on the sensor
3:19
And as you can see our device is unblocked. So it means that we just successfully added our fingerprint and everything works fine
3:25
And what's more you will be able to unlock your device the second way
3:31
For example the pin pattern or the password. Whatever you choose. As you can see I can enter my password
3:37
I mean pattern. So well actually that's all. We just successfully added our fingerprint to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10
