Welcome, I'm Fonamizy Samsung Galaxy M51 and today I'll show you how to reset the device
0:11
to recovery mode and also remove a screen like if you have one that for instance you
0:15
don't know the code to. So let me quickly lock the device and you can see that I do have one set and I'm gonna
0:21
proceed from here as though I don't know it. And to get started we'll need to forcefully shut off the device so you do it by basically
0:28
holding power key and volume down. Now once the screen turns off you want to switch to holding volume up
0:34
Now I'll also mention that as you can see the screen kind of turns up on itself because it's in a lock screen so the timeout right here is way quicker
0:42
So what you want to do is basically get to the lock screen and immediately from there hold power key and volume down so you have the most amount of time to figure out if the
0:49
phone actually shuts off or not. And the key differentiating factor of if it's gonna shut off or just kind of lock back
0:58
up is the screen. Now if you restart it the screen goes immediately black but on the lock screen right here if
1:05
it's gonna go dim it kind of progressively quickly dims out. So it's kind of like this fade effect where if you hold it it's gonna be instant
1:15
So let's try that right now. Power key, volume down, keep holding
1:23
Now this faded so I'm gonna keep holding and that should be good enough so switch to volume up
1:29
So you want to hold power key and volume up and there we go
1:35
So as you've seen the screen did dim out for me so I just kept holding the key for additional
1:40
couple seconds so once it actually dims out it will still restart after the specific time
1:46
that you need to hold it but you just don't see it. So that's kind of like a if you can't get it just try multiple times till you see the
1:55
Samsung logo. So you want to switch to holding volume up and power key before you see the Samsung logo
2:04
So once you're in recovery mode you will need to use power key or another key, volume keys
2:09
so volume up and down to navigate as you can see like so and you want to select the wipe
2:14
data factory reset option and from there confirm it with power key and again factory
2:19
data reset confirm it now before you actually do I will mention that this will remove all
2:23
the data from the device so just be aware of that so all the photos, videos, apps, everything
2:29
like that will be completely gone. Now I'm gonna press power key, confirm that it's gonna go to the process data wipe complete
2:37
and once it's completed you can see that reboot system now is selected by default so press
2:41
power key once more and this will initiate the reboot. So the device will be turning on or it's gonna look like it's gonna be turning on for about
2:50
like five minutes it's basically continuing the process in the background and once it's
2:55
finished will be completed with the Android setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible
3:11
And as you can see now the process is finished and you can set up your device as however
3:19
you like. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
