Welcome, in front of me is a Motorola Moto E6 Plus and today I will show you how to perform

a hard reset of the device in order to get rid of a screen lock

So once I lock the device you will see that there is an actual screen lock

So I'm gonna proceed from here as though I don't know the pattern

So you wanna start off by holding the power key and selecting power off

And wait for the device to shut off. Now once it has you will then hold power key and volume up

So power, volume up. And once you're in the boot mode you want to use volume up to navigate and volume down

to confirm. And with that in mind select the first option which is recovery mode and press volume down

to actually navigate into it. We are now in the recovery mode

So from here you can actually use both of the volume keys to navigate. So volume down to go down and up to go up

And you wanna select wipe data factory reset and confirm it again using this time the power key

And scroll down selecting yes, same thing. You'll get a dialog box on the bottom

The last thing should be data wipe complete. So let's wait for that to actually show up

And there we go. So data wipe complete. And reboot system now should be selected by default so press the power key to reboot the system

And the process will now continue in the background while the device is turning back on

So it will take a little bit longer for it to actually power back on

But once it has we should then be greeted with the Android setup screen

So I'll be back once that is actually visible. And as you can see now the process is finished

So you can go through the setup process. I'm gonna do it fairly quickly just to show that there is no more screen lock

So I'm gonna be skipping through basically everything as I can. And as you can see we're now on the home screen
